Darkseid, not darkside, nor dark side is a villain. His eyes are red and squinted. Perhaps that is why his name is misspelled? Does he spell other things wrong as well? Maybe he's not really a villain after all, merely misunderstood. Perhaps if he wore corrective lenses he may have gone down a different path. Perhaps he would have become the next Shakespeare. You never know.
